Privacy Policy
What we collect on this website, how we use it and the choices you have.
Who we are
Florida Elite Football & Cheerleading Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) youth football and cheerleading state league. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers floridaelitefootball.org only.
Information you give us
When you use a form on this site we collect what you type into it:
- Contact form: your name, email, phone number if you add it, the topic and your message.
- Text group: your name, mobile number, your role and your organization, plus your agreement to receive texts.
- Incident reports, replacement badges and the join interest form are handled by our form provider, Jotform. Their use of that information is covered by the Jotform privacy policy.
Please do not send medical details or information about a child through the contact form. Waivers, physicals and consent forms go to your organization on paper or through the forms in our Business Center.
Information collected automatically
Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. These logs are deleted on a rolling basis.
If you choose Accept on our cookie notice, we also use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay and your general location. If you choose Decline, or make no choice, Google Analytics does not load. You can change your choice any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The site also remembers a few preferences in your own browser, such as English or Spanish and the team you follow. These stay on your device and are not sent to us.
Maps and weather
Venue and Game Center pages can show directions, a map and the weather forecast for game day. Directions open in Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze only when you tap them. The Google map on a venue page loads only when you choose Show map, and Google then receives your IP address. Forecasts come from Open-Meteo, which receives your IP address and the venue location when the forecast loads. We do not send them anything else about you.
Donations
Online gifts are handled by the payment service you choose on our Donate page: Zeffy, PayPal or Stripe. You enter your payment details on their secure pages, never on this website. They share your name, email address and gift amount with us so we can thank you and send receipts.
Community features
On the Community page you can vote, cheer, send a shout-out, sign up to volunteer or send us photos. Votes and cheers use a random code stored in your browser so each device counts once; they are not linked to your name. Shout-outs show your first name, your role and your team after the conference approves them. Volunteer sign-ups (name, email and phone number if you add it) are seen only by conference staff and the event organizers. Photos you send are reviewed by conference staff, who only publish photos covered by a signed media waiver; your name and email are never shown. Volunteers must be 18 or older, and our forms are meant for adults.
How we use information
- To answer your message and follow up on your request.
- To send text messages to people who joined the text group.
- To keep the site secure and fix problems.
- To improve the site, using analytics only if you accepted them.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages
We text only the numbers that joined the text group. Message frequency varies with the season. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. We do not share your mobile number or your agreement to receive texts with anyone for their marketing.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the people and services that help us run the conference and this site: conference staff and board members who handle your request, our web hosting company, our email and texting providers, Jotform for the forms it runs, and Google for analytics if you accepted them. We may also share information when the law requires it or to protect the safety of athletes, families and staff.
Children
This site is meant for parents, guardians, coaches and organization leaders. Our forms are for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages as long as we need them to answer and follow up, and text group numbers until you opt out. After that we delete them or keep only what we need for our records.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information you sent through this site, or to remove you from the text group, by emailing president@floridaelitefootball.com.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date.
